Roulette is popular from the French Riviera to the East Coast of America. As in normal roulette, the wheel in online roulette is divided into compartments numbered from 0 to 36, alternately black and red. European roulette has only one zero and it is on the color green, American roulette has an additional compartment with a "00". The croupier spins the wheel and then throws the ball into the wheel from the opposite direction to the spin. Wherever the ball finally comes to rest is the winning number and/or color. The outcome determines whether you have won or lost the bet, it is as simple as that!

Other than placing your bet wisely, roulette does not require any particular skills. However, if you learn these few general rules for playing roulette, it will make your online gaming experience much richer:

• Up to 8 players can play at a game of online roulette. There is no competition, the one that correctly guesses where the ball will fall, is the winner.

Inside Bets

• "Straight bets" – you may decide to bet on a single number. The numbers of the wheel are printed on the table in 3 columns; you may place your bet on top of the number chosen.
• "Split bets" – choose 2 adjoining numbers on the table by placing your bet on the line that separates them.
• "Street bets" – bet on 3 numbers in a horizontal row by placing your chip at the beginning of the row.
• "Corner bets" – by placing your chip at the connecting point of 4 adjoining numbers on the table, you have placed a corner bet.
• "Six-line bets" – rows are known as “streets” in roulette, by placing your chip on 2 adjoining rows, you have placed a six-line bet.

Outside Bets

• Even money bets – any bet that covers all even numbers, all odd numbers, all red or all black numbers.
• Group bets – you may bet on the first, second or third dozen numbers.
• Column bets – place your bet on one of the 3 columns of numbers in the center of the Roulette table.
